Brookgreen Forest was developed in the 1990’s by Fortis Homes, a division of tract-builder KHovnanian Homes. It is in a prime suburban location, close to downtown Cary, with easy access to Apex, shopping, services and convenience.
Within a quarter mile from the entrance to Brookgreen Forest at the corner of Old Apex Road and the SouthWest Cary Parkway is Parkway Plaza, with groceries, restaurants, a convenience store/gas station, banking, Ace Hardware, and a few other retail services. Just down Old Apex Road, you can access US 64 which takes you to Jordan Lake Recreation, Pittsboro, Asheboro, the North Carolina Zoo, and other points west.
Other amenities nearby include Bond Park, additional retail and services at Preston Corners, 2 miles up the Cary Parkway, and more retail three miles away at Trader Joes.
Apex Community Park is within two miles, and it offers playgrounds, ball fields, fishing in the lake, and a three mile walking trail around the lake.
