Black Creek Greenway in Cary, NC, is one of the most popular greenway trail installations in Cary.

Winding from Umstead Park and Lake Crabtree at the farthest north end of Cary, the 5.60 mile Black Creek Greenway is nearly completed in its extension to Bond Park.  Popular with walkers and mountain bikers, the Greenway offers shaded paved areas, benches, and lovely scenery as it passes through North Cary, crossing streams and climbing hills through wooded natural areas.

Highlights along the Greenway are connections to West Cary Middle School campus, North Cary Park, R S Godbold Park and Dog Park, SK8 Cary, a pedestrian bridge over railroad tracks along NW Maynard Road, and a path between Oakwood Heights and Coles Creek neighborhoods.

When complete, the Black Creek Greenway and Cary's White Oak Greenway, will together comprise 15 miles of continuous trail through Cary, from Umstead Park to the American Tobacco Trail.
